Writing remotely since 2017, I'm still bombarded with questions from my nosy neighbors, and, more longingly, from my unrelenting, loving parents. "Courting a computer screen for six hours a day is not a real job," she says. "When are you going to ever wear a tie and head on to the office?" he argues. "Are you one of those bitcoin sluggers? Mind giving me a tip?" asks one. The last five years have seen me work under different pen names in fictional storytelling and copywriting, embellishing the internet with my blood and sweat, leaving the tears for when the good times come barreling down the hill. I love writing. It pushes me to drink water and find more elegant ways of punching a gym bag. No, I'm not into bitcoin. And I'm not looking into arbitrary employment. But I promise that I'll wear a tie. Some day.
