Let’s get to know Juanse. This swell person is proud of/that/for:

Moving to another city by himself.

Juanse has a big, loving, close-knit family that enjoys, and is used to, being together. So when he decided he was moving to Bogota, it was a bit of a culture shock for him. Everything was new, and everything needed to be learned on his own: how to pay rent, get utilities hooked up, cooking, where things were in the city, transportation, and everything else that comes with moving to a new place. Going through all of this was definitely a learning experience, and also something he would do all over again. Exploring by yourself can be just as challenging as it is freeing. Only you can give yourself permission to explore, grow and expand, and if you embrace challenges that arise as friends, your life will begin to look a whole lot more beautiful, and that it’s working for you, instead of happening to you.

Graduating with a Systems Engineering degree.

Before the degree, came prep. Lots and lots of it. What most people don’t see before success, is the work. The dedication. The determination. For Juanse, this degree meant a lot of intensive study in high school and in university. It meant an enormous amount of learning things he knew nothing about, to then become an expert at them. It meant making mistakes, and taking a hard look at the experiences, reflecting on why they happened, and then having the courage to move forward, and keep ongoing. The support and love of his parents only bolstered his conviction, and in the end, his learned resilience paid off with not only a degree but also a satisfying career that he enjoys and can be proud of.

Being at Bunny Studio.

Juanse wasn’t born being a programming expert. Let’s be real, none of us are! His previous job had nothing to do with coding or programming, not in the title or in the position itself; all of these skills he gained through curiosity and consistency. He went out of his way at his previous job to ask his boss if he could dive into an area that included programming, on top of what he was already doing. He sought out the tools to teach himself coding and sharpened his skills one step at a time, gaining knowledge and experience to become a developer, and not only a basic one, but a competitive one for the market. On top of that, he learned another language: English. To take all of these steps to transform and become what you want to be, takes a level of endurance, patience, and tenacity: Juanse has all of these and more. All of this led him to be here at Bunny Studio, where he feels privileged to be on such a great team, at such a diverse company, and in a role he loves.

Golden nugget: Be resilient in any situation. Yes, there are hard situations in our lives, but if you believe that you can do it, you can, and you will.
