Kate has been a professional voice over for almost 20 years. Her distinctive rich tone has captivated, educated, shocked and amused listeners in a wide range of areas. From heart wrenching serious documentaries such as Maternity Ward and Critical Hour to light entertainment reality shows like Stags and Hens, Kate manages to add that magical quality that keeps viewers listening. She enters every project with enthusiasm and dedication and is determined to make the words come alive no matter what the subject matter or topic. Her efforts have even been rewarded with the prestigious Sony Radio Gold Award in the Station Sound category as the voice for 6Music. Kates smooth, husky British voice has not only been heard on documentaries, but also many radio and television commercials, including Marks and Spencer, BBC, SKY, ITV, Halifax Bank, Morrisons, Halfords and British Gas. Kate can currently be heard in the UK as the announcer for Investigation Discovery UK, and in the Department of Health Stop Smoking campaign. Having also trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, Kate can offer a fabulously wide range of reads and attitudes. Finally Kates love of the spoken word is such that she now trains others to use their voice effectively and with gravitas, from tongue tied professionals to actors needing that extra edge.
